Tongariro River Retreat is a place for travellers to relax after a long day skiing, snowboarding, hiking, river rafting, mountain biking, swimming, fishing, or just relaxing with the peace and quiet of a small town. Stay warm and cosy near our fireplace on cold winter nights and make the most of our outdoor BBQ on warm summer days. Come stay with us and enjoy all that Turangi has to offer, a beautiful town surrounded by mountains, very close to Lake Taupo, and on the doorstep of the famous Tongariro Crossing. We are a friendly, family-run business with the focus of providing a cosy retreat in the heart of Turangi.

Location
We are located directly in town, on the same street as the Turangi I-site, a 3 minute walk to the supermarket, and a 1 minute walk to the shopping centre

We have free, unlimited WIFI with strong connection, we also have a large tv with Netflix and countless DVD's to watch
BBQ
We have an outdoor barbeque available for your use in the summer, grill some delicious kai for your family and enjoy our outdoor hammocks and our private grass area
Rooms
Our rooms have everything you need for your stay, linen, blankets, and pillows, as well as towels if you request them, come with your room

If you need your laundry cleaned, we have a washing machine available for your use
